Baby bat-HELP

    I found a baby bat under my car this morning.

    There are quite a few bats in the area that fly around at night catching insects, so he must be an insect eater.
    He has hair so he is not a very recent new born bat.

    I am gonna take him to the vet to ask his advice.

    Does anyone out there have any knowledge of bats?

    Most internet sites say it is really difficult to hand rear a bat, especially if you do not know the exact species. They also all say the bat should go to someone who really knows bats.

    Any ideas?

    Well, the vet reckoned the bat was old enough to fend for itself. Just put it in a tree. Hope he makes it. A real entertaining animal.
